Our Top Goals
1. To provide advocacy and support for families with infants, children, and teens who have diverse needs.
2. Ensure the sustainability of ongoing medically necessary therapy for each child to achieve their maximum developmental potential.
3. To alleviate the tremendous financial burdens/hardships of parents/guardians whose children need therapy services for an ongoing period of time.
4. To establish a fund to provide therapy services at Oklahoma Medicaid rates for families who do not receive coverage or reimbursement for therapy services for their child.
5. To establish a fund that provides families medically necessary equipment such as augmentative communication devices, adaptive toys, walkers, standers, wheelchairs, and other equipment that allows children to gain independence.
Our Vision
Our long term vision is to build the Beckett Hope Indoor Family Center. This center would include a multi-sensory playground, pretend play space, sensory-art area, sensory/calming rooms, climbing walls, and a place to develop the motor skills necessary for higher-level academic skills in a natural setting.
This environmentally controlled playground/space would be accessible to all children in the community, promoting the foundations of a child's play and development. The facility would house pediatric occupational, speech, and physical therapy services in one area. Another area would house a children and family counseling area and possibly a pediatrician.
In addition, we would like to incorporate a cafe and lounge area staffed by young adults with varying developmental delays to provide them purposeful and meaningful jobs. The Beckett Hope Foundation, Inc. also dreams of hosting an integrated preschool for children with special needs and classes for parents and young children.
